What we collect

Your email address, and your first name if you give it to us.

Your quiz answers and quiz result.

Screenshots you upload for a profile roast, plus the app, gender, age range, and notes you choose to add.

Hotline questions, plus your first name and email if you include them.

Basic usage information, such as the pages you visit, your device and browser type, your approximate location based on your IP address, and how you found the site. Some of this comes from Google Analytics, and some comes from our own records of steps like starting the quiz.

How we use it

To send you what you asked for: your quiz result, the guide, your profile review, or a note that your Hotline answer is up.

To send you our weekly email, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.

To make our content. Hotline questions may be used in videos and emails without identifying you. Profile screenshots are only featured if you gave us permission, with your name and face hidden.

To understand what is working on the site, such as how many people finish the quiz.

To keep the site secure and prevent abuse, including limiting how often forms can be submitted.

Profile roast screenshots

Your screenshots are private. They are stored securely and are never listed publicly.

To draft your review, we send your screenshots to our AI provider. A person on our team then reviews the draft, and may look at your screenshots, before anything is sent to you.

We delete your screenshots 30 days after your review is sent. If we could not review your profile, we delete them within 30 days of telling you.

Service providers we use

Anthropic, for AI drafting of profile reviews.

Resend, for sending emails like quiz results, guide links, and profile reviews.

Beehiiv, for our newsletter list.

Cloudflare, for file storage and site security.

Railway, for hosting the site and its database.

Google Analytics, for understanding how people use the site.

We share only what each provider needs to do its job. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics uses cookies to measure how people use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.

Feature permission for your profile or Hotline question is optional. To withdraw it, email hello@advicefromahotgirl.com. We will stop using it in new content, but we may not be able to remove content that has already been published.

To see, correct, or delete the information we have about you, email hello@advicefromahotgirl.com from the address you signed up with. We will confirm when your request is complete.

How long we keep it

Profile screenshots: 30 days after your review is sent.

Your email, first name, and quiz result: until you ask us to delete them.

Hotline questions: for as long as they are useful for the Hotline, or until you ask us to delete them. Questions already used in published content may stay in that content.

Age

The site is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including private file storage and links that expire. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee that your information will never be accessed without permission.

Where your information is processed

We are based in the United States. Our service providers may store and process your information in the United States and in other countries where they operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
