I started Advice From a Hot Girl because I kept watching my friends, and pretty much everyone else, struggle with dating. People make dumb decisions. They marry someone they were never compatible with, then fight for the whole marriage. Most of them were never taught how to actually talk to each other. This is the advice I'd give you if we were friends, including the parts you won't love hearing.
Why this exists
A lot of dating advice online comes from 2 places: guys yelling about being high value, and experts being so careful they never pick a side.
I pick a side. I'll tell you photo 1 is the problem, your opener is boring, and your situationship is a relationship where one person is lying to themselves. Then I'll tell you exactly what to do about it.
And when something is just my preference, I'll say that too.
Yes, I'm married
The obvious question: why is a married woman giving dating advice?
Because I'm living the part everyone's dating toward. We met on Bumble, fell in love on our first date at an Italian restaurant in Bellevue, Washington, and we've been inseparable ever since.
We've been together almost 8 years and married for over 5. It's a second marriage for both of us, and we both feel like we hit the jackpot. In all that time, we've never had one fight.
Married Girl Says is where I talk about what happens after the ring: money, disagreeing without fighting, and what matters in month 6 that you never thought about on date 1.
It also means I have zero interest in dating you, so I can be completely honest.
What I won't do
I won't comment on anyone's body, looks, race, or religion. Ever. When I roast a profile, I'm roasting choices you can change by tonight, like sunglasses in photo 1 or a bio that just says "ask me."
I won't give medical or mental health advice. For that you want a doctor or a therapist, and I'll tell you so.
I won't punch down at people who are having a hard time. If you're struggling, you get the kind version of me.
And I won't pretend my hot take is the only valid opinion. I'll still argue with you about it in the comments.
